Privacy & safeguarding

Belonging begins
with trust.

Privacy notice and community rules · Version 5 November 2026.

Who is responsible?

Anthony David Ferreira is responsible for TSH Community Cove. Contact thestillhand@gmail.com for privacy questions, corrections, access requests, objections, consent withdrawal, deletion requests and safeguarding concerns.

The physical community centre is a future project. Its premises, operating model, registrations and opening date are not confirmed. Membership here is membership of an online adult community, not school enrolment.

What we collect and why

Secure sign-in supplies an account identifier and email. We store your chosen display name, adult eligibility declaration, membership approval, optional bio, contributions, reports and activity responses to operate and moderate the community. Other approved adults can see your display name, bio, posts, replies and shared images; your account email is restricted to organisers.

Interest and enquiry forms collect the details you choose to send so Anthony can assess demand, respond and plan the initiative. Age ranges should be used instead of children’s names or birth dates. Homeschooling details are optional. Updates are optional and can be stopped by emailing Anthony. No payments, banking details or card information are collected.

Who can use the hub?

Accounts are for verified adults only. A sign-in establishes account identity; Anthony must separately check adult eligibility before approving membership. This verification is not an endorsement or a guarantee of any member’s conduct. Children connect through their parents. There are no child profiles or direct messages.

Photos and community conduct

  • Be kind and respect different families and educational choices.
  • Do not share children’s photographs, names, live locations or other identifying details in this initial hub.
  • Share only images you own or have permission to share. Photo uploads are resized and re-encoded in the browser to remove file metadata.
  • No harassment, discriminatory content, spam or unsolicited promotion.
  • Report concerning posts using the Report control. Anthony can hide content and revoke membership.
  • Meetings and activities must be arranged through parents, with suitable supervision, consent and safeguards.

Reports go to the organiser dashboard. The site is not an emergency service, and reports are not guaranteed to be reviewed immediately.

Storage, providers and access

The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. Structured records use D1 and private uploaded images use R2. Account sign-in is handled by the hosting platform, not a Community Cove password database. Hosting and processing may occur outside South Africa; the applicable provider terms and cross-border safeguards must be reviewed as the service develops. Images and conversations require approved adult access and are excluded from search indexing.

No third-party advertising, external analytics or automated marketing is enabled. The hosting and sign-in services may process technical information and use essential cookies to provide their services. No browser storage is used to track you for advertising.

Retention, control and removal

Information is kept for the stated community, enquiry and planning purposes. Anthony will review unconverted family interest and enquiry records at least annually and delete those no longer needed. Community contributions remain until removed through moderation or an accepted deletion request, subject to necessary safeguarding or legal records. No automatic deletion or backup restoration guarantee is claimed.

Request access, correction, a copy, withdrawal of consent or removal at thestillhand@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not invalidate prior lawful processing. Please avoid sending identity documents through the community feed. You can also contact the South African Information Regulator if a privacy concern is unresolved.

Continuing safeguards

Information Officer registration, processing agreements, hosting location and transfer review, documented retention and incident response, screening procedures and a tested backup and restore plan are operating tasks to complete with appropriate advice. This notice does not claim that legal registration, accreditation, nonprofit status or a completed POPIA audit has been obtained.
